Quarter 4 Final Project

 

About The Project 

For the last quarter of E-9 we had a shark tank project. A shark tank project is when we get put in groups of 4-5 and we had to be basically apart of a made up business. For our business we needed a name for our company, a product, a logo for our product and company, a coupon, ads, a commercial, and a 3D model of our product. Then after we have done all of that and put it all into our website we had to present it to
about half of the freshman E-Comm program. All of this took us about 2 months to do all of this. 

Our product was called the LI. It stands for Language Interpreter. It can translate any language for you with an earpiece that tells you what to say and glasses that can read off what someone says or even writing. This product we thought would help unify our planet and everyone would be able to hear the world their way. 

Some challenges we faced while doing this project were trying to decide what we were going to do with our commercial and also communication there was just some stuff we never really talked about and we just had to come up with it on the spot. Also the people who were in charge of doing the sketch up never turned in or made their Sketchup into a video. But from our struggles I did learn that next time we do a group project we need to keep each other accountable better and make a group chat so we all can communicate better. Some of the feedback that we got back was to have all of our bios the same size and for our presentation to work on cleaning up the end of it. We did work on the ending together. I also got feedback on the ad I did to change the colors and make an ombre effect and I did change that. 

My overall opinion on this quarter was that it was really fun to actually get mixed up and meet other people in the program. I also loved how we got to make our own product hat doesn't exist yet and hat we could make it look like its a real product with a commercial and ads and a website. I also loved how we got to show everyone our work and got to see what everyone else got to come up with.



Time Management 

During class time I completed all the work I was in charge of. For Animation I was in charge of the bigger ad and I completed that in class. In Video I edited and helped film all during class. In Graphic design I was in charge of the Logo for LI and I also finished that in class. When I finished a project early I would usually work on other assignments for other classes or try to fix something from animation or video or graphic design to make it better. I came in once during power 50 to touch up some stuff.

Maximizing Strengths

The way we made sure to use all of our strengths was to ask everyone what they thought their strength was and hen thats how we assigned all the work and surprisingly there was no fighting over what a person wanted to do we just vote and then thats it. My strength personally would be editing videos or graphic design. So I made the whole logo for LI and I made the globe for the Embraced Global logo which was our company name.

Weaknesses

To support our weaknesses was that we had an extra person since we had a group of 5 so we either had one person just try to help everyone if they did not feel confident about something. Like my weakness is animation but Yabi helped me a lot during that rotation.

Summary

The thing I loved most about this quarter was working with other people I did not know and making the commercial even tho it was really cold outside because we had a bonding experience. The thing I would change is maybe having everyone write down at least one person they would like to be with. I learned that it takes a lot of work just to commercialize a business. Also communication is key. One goal I would like to set for next year is to challenge myself more and get out of my comfort zone. How To Print Out A Doc. At ONW

width="560"> Pre-Production Our creative process was to name all the steps first on how to create a document and print it out then we looked at all the shots and put them on our story board to see which type of shot would make sense for each scene.Then we each used the iPad to just take pictures of each shot. Then we decided that I would be the actor for the video and Jaidyn would be the director and film.  Filming Like I said before my role was just the actor and I learned that you have to act like the camera isn't there and not pay attention to other things around you. Point A To Point B

The Process For this project the goal was to film someone traveling to location A to location B while adding obstacles in their way. So the way our group brain stormed was we first decided the mood of the video and we decided on scary. Then we went location scouting to decide where our locations should be and we decided we wanted to end up in the auditorium and we wanted to make it ironic and we started by the auditorium doors. Then we tried to work on a story and first we had some trouble but then we decided that the main characters friend disappears and the main character is trying to find her friend and she is getting these strange notes that give her clues to where she is.
