My Logo

The Process

Logo Color Combinations
These past 2 weeks I have been making my own logo. We got to learn how actual graphic designers do their job. So first I started out with thinking about what shape, font, and color I wanted my logo to be and I was also thinking of symbols that represented me. After that I just start sketching anything that I could think of. Then after sketching for 2-3 days I narrowed it down to 3 that I liked and I showed it to Mr.Olsen and we decided on one. Then I go on Adobe Illustrator and I start making different designs and versions of that one design. After that I picked one version that I liked and started doing different color combinations. Then I picked the one that I liked which is the picture above.
Different versions of my logo

Why

My logo sketches
There are reasons why I picked this logo. First I picked an N because it's the first letter of my name and I started experimenting with making shapes out of the letter N. I came up with 2 triangles. Then on illustrator I experimented with different fonts of the letter N and I also used different types of triangles. I liked the right angle triangles because It makes it look more stable. I chose black and blue because black is like a color that goes with everything and I wanted some contrast so I chose a light blue. Also the faded colors looked better to me than just the normal solid colors.

House Project

The Project So for this project we used sketchup and we had to make a model of a house we found on houseplans.com. This let us learn sketchup more and how to use different techiques in sketchup. The Process First we had to find a house then we had to look at the measurements of the house. I first just made a big block then I shaped it to look like my house. Then once I just got the shape of my house I added a porch and stairs. Then I started adding windows, doors and stuff like that. Then finally I looked back at my house and just tried to compared them and I added extra details that I forgot to do. Then after that I made an animation of giving a tour of my house.  I used this texture for my porch I used this texture for my house. What I Learned I learned how to use sketchup and different tools and techniques within sketchup. Like the push and pull tool to make a shape different heights. Then I learned how to use the orbital tool to move the camera an...

How To Print Out A Doc. At ONW

width="560"> Pre-Production Our creative process was to name all the steps first on how to create a document and print it out then we looked at all the shots and put them on our story board to see which type of shot would make sense for each scene. Then we each used the iPad to just take pictures of each shot. Then we decided that I would be the actor for the video and Jaidyn would be the director and film.  Filming Like I said before my role was just the actor and I learned that you have to act like the camera isn't there and not pay attention to other things around you. I also helped like place the iPad in the right places and i learned how to make your shots level and use the 3 thirds rule. Editing I also edited the video. I learned how to use premiere pro and how to put the videos together and make sure they make sense so the audience doesn't get confused or it does not look weird. I also learned how to add words onto the video and how to ad...

Graphic Design Final

My Favorite Projects Typography Graphic My 3rd favorite project was the typography projects. We found some of our favorite quotes that were meaningful to us and then made a graphic design out of it. The project took about 2 weeks. Some challenges I faced were just trying to find the right color schemes for each of my graphics. Some new skills I learned were how to use different types of pens to create different styles of strokes and textures. I took feedback on my color schemes. I changed the style of the spider because it did not work well when I filled it in with color. I think overall it turned out pretty well I think there is some room for improvement though.  Concert Advertising  My 2nd favorite project was the concert advertisement. What we had to do was pick an artist or musical artist and create a poster, tickets, and poster. This project took about 3 weeks. The challenges I faced were just trying to figure out how to put ever single piece of information ...
