Typography

Pre-Production

First we had to pick quotes that represented ourselves. I picked one that represented volleyball and another that represented marvel because I have always been obsessed with superheroes and those movies. Then I picked a app one because I feel like and I have always been told I am a very happy person I smile most of the time and laugh at almost everything. Then I picked one that represented music because music has always been a big part of my life. Then I picked fonts that fit more of the tone of the word like what it means. I also tried to stick with a theme for all of them. Like for the marvel one I picked the marvel specific fonts. 

Production

I learned how to change the texture of the pen tool when I was making the music quote one and the volleyball inspired one for the border. I just kind of played with the words and where I placed them till I liked it. I liked working with black and white better because colors were very hard to choose because it was hard for me to make it look aesthetically pleasing.

Final Product

I thought my happy and the harder the battle quote looked good and I am pleased how those two turned out but I had lots of trouble once it came to colors with the other two. I just had trouble with choosing the right colors.

Graphic Design Final

My Favorite Projects Typography Graphic My 3rd favorite project was the typography projects. We found some of our favorite quotes that were meaningful to us and then made a graphic design out of it. The project took about 2 weeks. Some challenges I faced were just trying to find the right color schemes for each of my graphics. Some new skills I learned were how to use different types of pens to create different styles of strokes and textures. I took feedback on my color schemes. I changed the style of the spider because it did not work well when I filled it in with color. House Project

The Project So for this project we used sketchup and we had to make a model of a house we found on houseplans.com. This let us learn sketchup more and how to use different techiques in sketchup. The Process First we had to find a house then we had to look at the measurements of the house. I first just made a big block then I shaped it to look like my house. Then once I just got the shape of my house I added a porch and stairs. Then I started adding windows, doors and stuff like that. Then finally I looked back at my house and just tried to compared them and I added extra details that I forgot to do. Then after that I made an animation of giving a tour of my house.  I used this texture for my porch I used this texture for my house. Semester 1 Final

Reflection This semester I have learned a lot. Like using Photoshop and Illustrator. I like Photoshop personally because it is a lot easier to learn and I like photography and editing my photos better than making graphics on Illustrator. My two favorite Photoshop projects have been one of the first ones we did, which is the "Nature Man" one. I also really liked the Panorama one. Nature Man For this project we were given a picture of this man and a bunch of nature pictures. We had to put them together by using clipping masks to create a "Nature man". I do not remember how long this took because we did this project at the beginning of the year. I had trouble just getting started and trying to decide what I wanted my vision for him to be. I honestly just played around with it until I made something I liked.
