Point A To Point B

The Process

For this project the goal was to film someone traveling to location A to location B while adding obstacles in their way. So the way our group brain stormed was we first decided the mood of the video and we decided on scary. Then we went location scouting to decide where our locations should be and we decided we wanted to end up in the auditorium and we wanted to make it ironic and we started by the auditorium doors. Then we tried to work on a story and first we had some trouble but then we decided that the main characters friend disappears and the main character is trying to find her friend and she is getting these strange notes that give her clues to where she is. After we brainstormed we started filming and the first day didn't work out well because I think everyone was not on the same page but then the second day of filming we all got on the same page and we got to filming and we got everything done except for the last few scenes that we did the 3rd day but the lighting changed a lot which caused less continuity. Then after I edited my video and i tried to put more of a creepy spin to it and then because of the lighting I had to mess with filters but besides that I didn't have that much trouble.

What I Learned

During this project I learned a lot more about what i can do in Premiere Pro. I learned how to change the lighting in my videos and I also learned how to fade in and out in music and in videos. I also learned how to make a video freeze in the middle of it. The main trouble i had was trying to make the timing work well in my video.

Reflection

Our group worked really well together. We could decide who wanted what job pretty easily. I was the actor in this one again and the only problem was that sometimes everyone got distracted but besides that our group worked really well together.

Semester 1 Final

Reflection This semester I have learned a lot. Like using Photoshop and Illustrator. I like Photoshop personally because it is a lot easier to learn and I like photography and editing my photos better than making graphics on Illustrator. My two favorite Photoshop projects have been one of the first ones we did, which is the "Nature Man" one. I also really liked the Panorama one. Nature Man For this project we were given a picture of this man and a bunch of nature pictures. We had to put them together by using clipping masks to create a "Nature man". I do not remember how long this took because we did this project at the beginning of the year. I had trouble just getting started and trying to decide what I wanted my vision for him to be. I honestly just played around with it until I made something I liked. I learned how to use photoshop a lot better like using those clipping masks to put more than 1 picture together to create just one picture. The feedback ...

Printing Process

Relief Relief printing process is when someone draws a picture into a wooden block or lithium metal. Then they use a roller that has ink all over it, then covers it with ink. Then they will put a piece of paper flat on the wooden or metal block. Then they use a roller to flatten out and press the paper on the carved block then you peel the paper off the block and then your done. You can carve the block by useing a chemical then drawing a sketch on a piece of paper then tracing it into the block with pen or sketch it out on the block and use different types of carving tools.  Intaglio This print process starts with a plate of medal which goes through a cleaning process then it gets some ground applied which is a combo of asphalt and rosin then it is spread all over the surface of the medal plate. Then the metal plate is smoked under a fire. Then the sketch gets scratched on and removes the ground with acid. Then its ready to print by using ink. Lithography This pri...

Graphic Design Final

My Favorite Projects Typography Graphic My 3rd favorite project was the typography projects. We found some of our favorite quotes that were meaningful to us and then made a graphic design out of it. The project took about 2 weeks. Some challenges I faced were just trying to find the right color schemes for each of my graphics. Some new skills I learned were how to use different types of pens to create different styles of strokes and textures. I took feedback on my color schemes. I changed the style of the spider because it did not work well when I filled it in with color. I think overall it turned out pretty well I think there is some room for improvement though.  Concert Advertising  My 2nd favorite project was the concert advertisement. What we had to do was pick an artist or musical artist and create a poster, tickets, and poster. This project took about 3 weeks. The challenges I faced were just trying to figure out how to put ever single piece of information ...
