Watercolor Transfer Prints

The Process First I chose a project and I chose the Pop Art project. I cropped it and made two copies. One is color and one is black and white. I printed them out on the same sheet of paper. Then I cut both of my graphics out. Then I took a piece of water color paper and tore it in half. Then I used water color paint and brushes to paint my water color paper. I decided I wanted one warm colors and the other cold colors. I used blue and purple for my cool colors and I just was making different streaks horizontally with the two colors. I did the same with the other one just with yellow, orange, and yellow. Then I let them dry overnight. After that I took my prints that I printed out earlier and I covered both of my prints with mod podge on the front side. Then I placed it upside down on the water color paper trying to get it centered as close as I can. Then once I did that to both I used a squeegee and I just slid it on the paper to get out the access mod lodge without trying to g...

Feature Story

Overview Of The Project For our project in video we were assigned a partner, then we had to make a featured story about something about them. First we just got to know the person and we just talked for one class period. While talking to Blake (who was my partner) I took some notes about him to figure out what story I should do about him. Then I tried to come up with top 3 topics then I tried to come up with questions and the one I could come up with the best and most questions became my featured story. My featured story was finalized to be about Blake working at AMC. First I came up with a list of 21questions I could ask him. Then I decided to get some B-Roll at AMC the following weekend. During class while I was waiting for the weekend to come I made a lower third. After I got B-Roll I Interviewed Blake at ONW in the Auditorium. We chose that place because we couldn't find a quieter place that also had good lighting at AMC. After the Interview I edited my videos of the interv...

Printing Process

Relief Relief printing process is when someone draws a picture into a wooden block or lithium metal. Then they use a roller that has ink all over it, then covers it with ink. Then they will put a piece of paper flat on the wooden or metal block. Then they use a roller to flatten out and press the paper on the carved block then you peel the paper off the block and then your done. You can carve the block by useing a chemical then drawing a sketch on a piece of paper then tracing it into the block with pen or sketch it out on the block and use different types of carving tools.  Intaglio This print process starts with a plate of medal which goes through a cleaning process then it gets some ground applied which is a combo of asphalt and rosin then it is spread all over the surface of the medal plate. Then the metal plate is smoked under a fire. Then the sketch gets scratched on and removes the ground with acid. Then its ready to print by using ink. Lithography This pri...

Panorama Narrative

I woke up this morning and you know that feeling right when you wake up, for a split second your mind is just blank and you just forget everything; problems, worries etc. Well I woke up then I realized I was somewhere else I was just in a hotel room but I still do not remember anything. I could smell some breakfast food and then I heard someone knock on the door and yell "room service!" I knew that was not for me because I did not order anything. So I went out into the balcony and the view was gorgeous the sun was rising behind these tall loquacious green mountains. It was a blazing deep orange with a hint yellow towards the blazing fire and pink up towards the fluffy clouds. I was towards the edge of town it looked like but then as I was walking out of the hotel I could see the water and across the flowing water I could see some palm trees in the distance and a beach. I decided it was time for an adventure and everywhere I went no one was there until I came across the myste...

Pop Art

About The Project Before For this project we got a partner chosen randomly and we had to take pictures of them. once we did we had to choose one to turn into a style of pop art by using photoshop. I did that by using the brush tool and blend moved to change the colors and make it more bright and vibrant. I also added a filter to it too. I also used masks to make the background and change the color without going outside of the lines with different shapes. Then I used the shape tool to add something a little more to the background. I made circles then I used a color blend mode to make the shapes overlap to make a different color which I thought looked cool.  After The Process  I began with just messing around with different colors then I just chose the one I liked the best because I didn't think they would look good together or I messed up and couldn't fix it. The color scheme was pink yellow blue and purple this seems kind of weird but in the end I think it act...

Photoshop Challenge: Nature Man

About The Challenge My class was given a challenge to use a photo of a man and to use masks and blending modes to change for example his hair, clothes, background etc. One of the rules was that we had to keep his face seen. We were given different pictures to use or we could use ones that we found online but we are supposed to keep him nature oriented. Hence the title "Nature Man." The Process To be honest I had no I dealt what I wanted to do and I did not really have any inspiration at first. I just used the photos given and messed around with making masks and just seeing what I could come up with. Then I decided I was doing too much and that maybe I should try to keep it more simple. So I only changed the jacket with like ocean rocks then I wanted to make his hair cool but it never really worked out so I just skipped it. Then I changed everything to black and white besides my nature photos. Then I added a background but it looked weird if the guy was black and whit...

Photoshop Tutorials Pt 1

About The Project It is the start of sophomore year. I am taking video and design. My first design project was doing a bunch of photoshop tutorials to get to know the program better before we actually start our own independent projects. So what we had to do was follow along with videos teaching us how to edit photos using certain tools.  The Process For the first tutorial we learned how to take out items we do not want in the backround or just do not want in the picture period. To take out items in the background I used the content fill aware tool. Then I also used that same tool to take out a logo on a surfboard.  For the second tutorial I learned how to use the patch tool to take out a logo off of a shirt that I did not like in the picture.  In the 3rd tutorial I learned how to use the clone stamp and healing brush to take off the tags a girl had on her jacket and use the healing brush and cloning stamp to make it still look normal. The 4th tutorial...
