Color Wheel Project

Color Wheel

These past few days we have been making a color wheel to get to know how to use adobe illustrator better. So this was a very simple and easy project that let us know how to use certain tools and this is like our first step to do even bigger projects. Overall I did pretty well and it was a very simple and easy project to do. First we made the big circle then put 2 triangles in the middle and one of the triangles is upside down and dotted. Then we made smaller circles for the primary colors and squares for the secondary colors and small triangles for the triaph colors. Then we typed what each color was then we were done and all I had to do was save it.

What I Learned

I learned a lot on what to do in adobe illustrator while doing this small project. First we did some review and learned about the color wheel and all of the colors. Like primary and secondary colors. Then we learned some tools on illustrator. Like the shape tool and how to use different shapes and make different shapes. We also learn the stoke and fill tool which can fill in a space and outline a space. Another tool is the art board tool which can edit your size of the art board. We also used the text tool which is when you can just type words.

Conclusion

My experience with this project went a lot better that the last project. This is one of the projects that I would like to do by my self. During this project I didn't really have ay trouble with it at all. The only problem was me not writing down good enough notes and me forgetting what to do. So if I had to do something differently next time I would just take better notes next time. Other things I would like to learn is making my own logos and stuff like that.

Graphic Design Final

My Favorite Projects Typography Graphic My 3rd favorite project was the typography projects. We found some of our favorite quotes that were meaningful to us and then made a graphic design out of it. The project took about 2 weeks. Some challenges I faced were just trying to find the right color schemes for each of my graphics. Some new skills I learned were how to use different types of pens to create different styles of strokes and textures. I took feedback on my color schemes. I changed the style of the spider because it did not work well when I filled it in with color. I think overall it turned out pretty well I think there is some room for improvement though.  Concert Advertising  My 2nd favorite project was the concert advertisement. What we had to do was pick an artist or musical artist and create a poster, tickets, and poster. This project took about 3 weeks. The challenges I faced were just trying to figure out how to put ever single piece of information ...

Semester 1 Final

Reflection This semester I have learned a lot. Like using Photoshop and Illustrator. I like Photoshop personally because it is a lot easier to learn and I like photography and editing my photos better than making graphics on Illustrator. My two favorite Photoshop projects have been one of the first ones we did, which is the "Nature Man" one. I also really liked the Panorama one. Nature Man For this project we were given a picture of this man and a bunch of nature pictures. We had to put them together by using clipping masks to create a "Nature man". I do not remember how long this took because we did this project at the beginning of the year. I had trouble just getting started and trying to decide what I wanted my vision for him to be. I honestly just played around with it until I made something I liked. I learned how to use photoshop a lot better like using those clipping masks to put more than 1 picture together to create just one picture. The feedback ...

Printing Process

Relief Relief printing process is when someone draws a picture into a wooden block or lithium metal. Then they use a roller that has ink all over it, then covers it with ink. Then they will put a piece of paper flat on the wooden or metal block. Then they use a roller to flatten out and press the paper on the carved block then you peel the paper off the block and then your done. You can carve the block by useing a chemical then drawing a sketch on a piece of paper then tracing it into the block with pen or sketch it out on the block and use different types of carving tools.  Intaglio This print process starts with a plate of medal which goes through a cleaning process then it gets some ground applied which is a combo of asphalt and rosin then it is spread all over the surface of the medal plate. Then the metal plate is smoked under a fire. Then the sketch gets scratched on and removes the ground with acid. Then its ready to print by using ink. Lithography This pri...
