My 10 Strengths Animation

The Project

So this quarter I started animation. I honestly am not excited for this class but so far its been good. For my first project I used the words from my 10 strengths to make an animation. This first project was pretty simple but i know its probably going to get harder once we really get into it. 


What I learned/ The Process

So for this project I learned how to use photo shop and I learned that Photoshop isn't just for pictures you can also use it to edit and make videos which I thought was pretty cool. So first I typed out all of my words in different sizes and different colors and positions and fonts. So we basically just placed them first. Then the next day I got to start animating them and actually making them move. First we basically had to make point a and point be and the computer would do the rest and make the words move. So you can make the words bounce around and even make them spin which i thought was pretty cool. 

My Thoughts

Overall I thought the project was pretty easy and it was a good one to start with and to just learn the basics of photoshop and animation. I really liked this project probably because it was easy and it didn't take that long to do.

Trailer

Pre-Production For this project we got assigned groups to recreate a movie trailer. My group chose Napoleon Dynamite because it was short, easy and, funny. After we decided on our movie we had to story board and fill out the beat sheet. The hardest part was casting because it was hard to find a time everyone is free or just people who wanted to be in it and fitted the character.  Production We filmed for about a week and a half and getting the school shots was easy and we got those done with fast during school. It was hard to schedule the out of school shots but we got it done.  Post Production New things I learned with premier was editing the speed of a video to have shots slowed down and I also used a filter to make it seem more cinematic. I also used audio effects to try and fix the sound from the wind. How To Print Out A Doc. At ONW

width="560"> Pre-Production Our creative process was to name all the steps first on how to create a document and print it out then we looked at all the shots and put them on our story board to see which type of shot would make sense for each scene.Then we each used the iPad to just take pictures of each shot. Then we decided that I would be the actor for the video and Jaidyn would be the director and film.  Filming Like I said before my role was just the actor and I learned that you have to act like the camera isn't there and not pay attention to other things around you. I also helped like place the iPad in the right places and i learned how to make your shots level and use the 3 thirds rule. Editing I also edited the video. Quarter 4 Final Project

  About The Project  For the last quarter of E-9 we had a shark tank project. A shark tank project is when we get put in groups of 4-5 and we had to be basically apart of a made up business. For our business we needed a name for our company, a product, a logo for our product and company, a coupon, ads, a commercial, and a 3D model of our product. Then after we have done all of that and put it all into our website we had to present it to about half of the freshman E-Comm program. All of this took us about 2 months to do all of this.  Our product was called the LI. It stands for Language Interpreter. It can translate any language for you with an earpiece that tells you what to say and glasses that can read off what someone says or even writing.
